This image is meant to be an advertisement for the fraternity of kappa sigma. I combined 4 different images to create this. The first was the letters of kappa sigma. I took the picture on my iPhone then emailed it to my computer. In photoshop I used the magic want select tool to separate the actual letters from the background photo. I then placed the letters in the center of the image. In the bottom left corner of the image I placed a picture that I took last semester. I took it on the west side of campus, the area close to downtown pullman and the skate park. After taking the picture I decided to change the sky from a boring grey color to a pink and blue color. I feel as if this brightened up the image as well as making it more interesting. The picture in the top right is actually a screen shot from a video I had made previously. It is a picture of the front of the kappa sigma house. I liked it as it showed of nice texture of the brick walls of the house as well as giving an idea of the actual fraternity building looks like. The picture to the far left is another picture of the fraternity. I took this picture during homecoming week of my freshman year. That pictures shows how the house was decorated in celebration of homecoming. The streamers and the decorations showed a happy and festive vibe. If you look closely you can se that Kappa Sigma was partnered with the Alpha Delta Pie sorority. This shows that we are in fact a social fraternity and that we have good relations with Alpha Delta Pie. In my final draft I may add more pictures to show the point of this image. I might also make the pictures blend together better.

Hi Tyler! The advertisement you made for Kappa Sigma turned out really nice. I thought the best part about the image was how you made the sky in the bottom right corner look blue and pink. You could maybe include some photos of you with some of the fraternity brothers to show others how close everyone is with one another. The letters in the center of the photo look great and I specifically liked how you layered them over each other while still being able to see the leaves of the trees from the background photo. I would possibly add another image on the left side to even out the number of photos for both sides. I think this advertisement for your fraternity will be super effective towards teaching people more about Kappa Sigma because the images work well together and complement one another perfectly. You did a really good job and I look forward to seeing the final result!

Hey Tyler! I really liked how your advertisement about your fraternity Kappa Sigma turned out! The cutout of the greek letters “K” and “S” thats cut and embedded in the middle of the page, and in front of the background picture really make your Ad stand out. That was a great touch! Coming from another person who is all in a fraternity, I would recommened that you change a picture or two and exchange it with a group shot of your closest friends in the house or the whole house with the members in front of it. The letters in the middle do cut out most of the picture on the left hand side, so if possible, make the letters smaller or make the left sided picture about 1/3 of the page, not quite 1/2 of it. I like everything so far, I’m really exited to see the final product when the project is due. Great work!

Hi Tyler! I think that the ad you made for Kappa Sigma looks pretty legit. I thought the best part was having your Greek letters in the front of your photos. As far as changes to make to the ad, for the one on the left, I would make that part look more focused on the picture of the house instead of the sky since you’re trying to show off your house. Also, I think that you should add another picture to the left side so it evens out the amount of pictures on each side. For the other picture to add, I would add a picture with people from your fraternity in it to show the brotherhood you all share. Other than that, I would say this looks good!
